Gravity Table with Belt Press Filter
Compositech produces our own gravity table and belt press filter designs with several models available. We also manufacture replacement parts for other brands of gravity tables and belt press filters.
The gravity table is a continuous belt thickener designed to increase the solid content of the feed sludge by up to ten times the inlet consistency. Its gentle thickening action makes the unit suitable for treating any type of sludge. The gravity table separates suspended solids from the sludge and features fast separation and high constant hourly yields. The special features of our gravity table include a wide flange H section steel frame, wear resistant belt support bars, a high quality seamless belt, an adjustable turbomixer, specially shaped plows which improve sludge drainage by reversing and distributing the sludge, and a sludge leveler at the drainage zone to improve the thickening effect.
The unique inflow arrangement of gravity table in combination with a belt press maximizes the drainage efficiency of the dewatering process in terms of flow rate, polymer consumption, and solid content in the cake. Compositech is a leading manufacturer of belt press assemblies. Our belt press has a cantilever steel frame which allows for the use of seamless belts and is easy to clean, making it well suited to pulp and paper slurry dewatering. The belt press is a multi-level construction consisting of a gravity dewatering zone, a wedge pressing zone, and a final pressure zone. The belts converge on each side of the sludge in the wedge zone and the pressure zone applies shear and surface pressure by wrapping the belts around the pressure rolls.
